The End!

Earlier this week I finished stitching the final Truly Scrumptious block - Gracie! All nine blocks have been stitched, blocks are assembled and now it's time to put the entire quilt together. Hopefully that will happen very soon.

Still no desire to sew and/or quilt - it's been several weeks since I've spent much time in my sewing room. Yes, I know, this is growing tiresome and I'm sure some are tired of hearing about it (second verse, same as the first - LOL). However, can you imagine how I feel - incredibly frustrated! I have finally figured out exactly what's bugging me and now I just have to work on getting past it.

On a happier note - all the Random Act of Kindness goodies are finished and will be hitting the mail on Tuesday. I can't wait to make others smile and hopefully put a song in their hearts'.

Are you enjoying time with your needle and thread - do a stitch or two for me.

I appreciate that you're still visiting and I hope that you'll continue to do so.

In Friendship!

If you've identified what's bugging you, Darlene, then the battle is almost won. Most people never reach that step so you're way ahead of the game.

Gracie is a cutie-pie. I'd love to see this quilt put together because I think it would bring a ray of sunshine to anyone who happens to see it. I'm sure the RAK's that you're sending out will bring as much joy to the recipients as I got and still am getting from yours. You have a GIANT heart my friend and I for one appreciate you and your friendship.

I have been in this place too. Just give yourself time to rest and enjoy whatever is lovely in your life. And, be as kind to yourself as you are to others.

We're hanging in here with you hon. Kaaren is right. You've reached a step that will put you in the right direction. Sometimes we all get a little frustrated and tired. But I sure would miss you if you left us behind :-(

Your stitchery is so cute, I love it. I agree with Kaaren once you figure out what's wrong it's a step in the direction to getting over it and back to your old self. One thing good to think about is it's September and cooler weather is coming soon. That's something to look forward to for sure.

Figuring out the problem is more than half the battle - don't put pressure on yourself - remember, this is supposed to be FUN! If it isn't right now, don't do it - it (and we) will still be here when your mojo comes back. I've had years at a time over the past 22 years that I haven't done much quilting.

Hang in there - this passes - just ask me. I had a long dry spell where I didn't touch a needle - but I just kept busy with other things and enjoyed myself until the quilting bug returned. I think it is natural for us all to have a bit of burnout from time to time - so find something that DOES interest you (reading, walking, drinking tea in the back yard) and enjoy it until the quilting bug attacks.

So what if Ms. Speedy lost some zip these past several weeks. She knows what it is that is bothersome, she deals with it and soon she moves on (this I know!) I'm guessing soon enough those batteries will be recharged and off she'll speed again. (quilt again teehee).
You haven't completely lost the feeling girl...you've got RAKs and have been thinking of others during your unforunate dry spell. You've got a heart of gold. In Friendship and always!!

Your stitchery is oh so nicely done. The fabrics surrounding ever so good. I am looking forward to seeing the project as a whole even if it isn't quilted. Flimsy's count and sure do take up less space than a quilt with batting in it.

Ah love the block - this is going to be a wonderful quilt! Don't worry about your mojo taking a vacation. It will come back. I'm glad you've figured out what's bothering you, that's more than half the battle. And of course I'll continue to visit with you. I just wish I could help.

I am glad you've identified what's bugging you, that should help, I hope! I have long periods of time when I don't sew and I read or cook up a storm, then I come back to quilting renewed and loving it more than ever. I am sure it will be the same with you! I can't wait to see your truly scrumptious all put together!
