I'm Ready!

Saturday morning I was blog stalking and tripped across a couple of quilt patterns that really spoke to me. And, I mean they spoke LOUD!!!!! :-)

I hit the road Saturday afternoon - a very long trip across town (needed a change of scenery) to do some shopping. I'll tell you about that trip in my next post - I had too much fun.

I spent ALL day Sunday cutting out four quilt tops - now I'm Ready to sew when the mood strikes. Now let's hope the mood strikes very soon. :-)

1. Remember when I told you about "Kitchen Sink" in the book Scrap Basket Surprises? I put that project aside but Sunday I finished cutting 168 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" different dark rectangles and 220 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" light rectangles.

2. A project inspired by a fellow blogger. 40 different Civil War prints
3. 100 different 2" x 21" strips - Civil War prints for a Miss Rosie pattern :-)

4. 100 different 2" x 21" strips - 30's prints for another Miss Rosie pattern. :-)

Thank you so much for sharing some of your "Quilting Mojo".

I really appreciate your visit - please again soon!

In Friendship!

So where did you find it? Under the bathroom sink like I said? Well, wherever it was, make sure you lock the doors and don't let it leave again!

Wow! I am so happy for you. It is great to have you back. I love the Miss Rosie patterns. I have not made one yet but want to. I need to do some precutting too, so that when I have the time I can just go ahead and sew.

I've always liked scrappy quilts and the Kitchen Sink sounds like a great way to use up some fabric! However cutting up all those pieces would have me in a tizzy after an hour or so.....

Can't wait to see it start. It sounds as if the quilting mojo is working its way back in. Playing with fabric is always a mojo maker for me!

Prepping for applique or cutting for peicing is the hardest part for me. You've got the fun part to look forward to now.

I love your fabrics and I know I'm going to love your quilts.

Something about fall and winter just makes me want to make quilts.

Welcome back, you were missed. I can read the excitement in your post.

I have to admit I'm a little jealous. I haven't spent much time with my rotary cutter lately. But my sewing machine and I are having a blast!

Love all your yummy fabrics. Can't wait to see what they turn into.

I personally think nothing is more fun than spending an afternoon cutting quilt blocks. LOVE your combination of fabrics there in strip. Can't wait to see what you make.

Hey Darlene! I hit the west side quilt shops last Saturday as well...35th Ave, Quilter's Bee, Sun Valley, and Bearly Stitchen. Came home with quite a haul. Glad your mojo is back. Let us know how your "road trip" went. Not sure you remember me, but this is Laura from Avondale, an old XS aquaintance from Cross Stitch Corner. Remember when we were going to meet up with Ros from England? Happy Quilting and Stitching! I still fit in stitching from time to time as well, but mostly I'm a quilter now.

Wow, all of those fabrics are fantastic! Please quickly sew them up and share so we can see what they made!!!! :) (Hugs)
