Schnibblemania
The End
*

I managed to accomplish my self challenge and completed all 12 Big Schnibbles in Carrie Nelson's Schnibbles Times Two book. May I say that I'm quite proud of myself. :-) My daughter, Kristie, paid me the ultimate compliment "Mom, you're so disciplined". Wow - thank you, Sweetness!
*
Part of my silly challenge was to make all the quilts with Moda fabrics and I'm happy to report that the quilts are 100% Moda. I don't know why that was important to me but it was - maybe it's my homage to Moda - I don't know. LOL Such silliness, I know!!!!
*
I need to thank two very special people - my bloggy BFF who encouraged my challenge and sent lots and lots of words of support (you know who you are, My Friend) and Carrie Nelson (Miss Rosie's Quilt Co). She provided lots of encouragement, laughs, and fabric - thank you! It's a terrific book and I'm ready for Book Two - LOL
*
And, thank you fellow bloggers who visited and left so many comments and compliments - you guys really ROCK!!! Along the way I got to know some of you a little better and have many new bloggy friends.

I've been asked if I have special plans for these quilts. Well, no special plans - they need to be quilted but first I need to save pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollar bills to purchase backing and binding fabrics. That will be a huge task. Sigh! After they are quilted Bennington will go to my daughter and her boys, Seth & Eli. The rest will stay with me and I'll just own and love them. LOL

Thank you from the bottom of my quilting heart. :-)

Way to go Darlene! You did an amazing job, and disciplined is definatly the right word! I looked over at my sewing area and I have 1/2 dozen different projects on the go, and some of them are just because I haven't had the discipline to do certain parts of them...

Take a bow, my friend. That was some parade! Simply awesome from start to finish.

I think you need a vacation now.

Let's see...if you had to choose between Hawaii and Canada, which one would it be? Nah, don't even answer that. Aloha! *wink*

WOW!!! What an amazing parade. I think this is the first time I've commented on your blog, though I've been a reader for awhile. Your work is beautiful! I got the Schnibbles book last month and had the same thought--that I love all of the quilts in it, and what if I made all of them? Now I have a role model to look up to... and a visual display to encourage me as I go along. Congratulations on all of your gorgeous work!

I have been following along - although not posting. It has been quite fun to watch you quilt yourself silly!! Great job! Mostly you made it seem so do-able for the rest of us :))) I recently bought the book while I was on holiday's this year - I bought it in Canmore Alberta at a quilt shop called Sugar Pine - and I think it was one that Carrie visited on tour recently if I do recall. I really do hope to make one or two of the quilts in the book as well. Congratulations on all your hard work and making them all!!
