Tying Up Loose Ends

I decided to devote the week to tying up a handful of loose ends. Made the list and made my check marks. Wahoo!!!

August Snowbound blocks for Terry & Kelly - stitched & in the mail - woohoo!

Nine patches for Julie's Great 9 Patch Celebration Exchange - done and will be mailed on Monday. Woohoo!
Four patches in 30's prints for a swap with a bloggy friend - in the mail on Friday - woohoo!!!

Caught up with the Designer Myster BOM from The Fat Quarter Shop. Followed Dianne's lead and assembled the first row. I'm ready for Block #4 in September. WooHoo!!!

Of course, you already know that I finished Raggedy & Friends block 1 for Carol. In the mail on Friday - woohoo!! Almost finished with block #2. Thank you, again, Kaaren, for sharing your talent.

I have one more loose end to tie up but I can't seem to wrap my head around it. GRRRRR! I need to make Cindy Lou Who Schnibble for Year of the Schnibble but selecting fabric has been a daunting task. Need to focus on just that project. Wish me luck!!!! :-)

I feel super productive and that makes me very happy. It's the little things that make me happy.

Happy Day to you!

Love your 9 patches! I looked for some lighter fabrics, like your pink, but couldn't find any here.
I still love that Christmas mystery, but am showing great restraint in not ordering it...today.

You had a pretty good week Darlene! Checking things off your to-do list is so gratifying :^) Love Dianne's idea of sewing the first 3 Designer Mystery blocks together too.

Good luck with your Cindy Lou Who Schnibble!

What a week! I wish I could get into gear, but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe when cooler weather gets here..... Great job on all you accomplishments.

WOWSER! You got tons done! YIPPEE! Love those 9 patches...cute as can be 4 patches and I'm nuts over the first row of the BOM...what a wonderful idea...then there won't be any marathon sewing after that last block arrives.
I'm clapping for all you check marks!
Check! Check! and Check!
Good luck with Cindy Lou!

Good for you getting so much accomplished. I suppose the hardest part of the Cindy Lou Who is deciding on the fabric but you'll find something just perfect. I still need to stitch ten snowbound block.

I am exhausted reading all of that. LOL!!

Looks like we both were tying up the loose ends this weekend. I am going to try to do this until the 1st of next year.

I LOVE all those 4 and 9 patches. I am sorry I didn't join the Designer Mystery, those blocks are looking great. I still haven't started one block of the 2009 Designer Mystery. Oops.

My goodness you have tied up a lot of those ends! I always found the hardest part of making the Schnibbles was what to use~ hope you've come across the perfect fabric for yours. Have a great week!

Yay for you finishing that first row! I think that there will be quite a few of us now doing that :)

Isn't it a great feeling to feel productive and to be able to check things off on your "to do" list?

You leave me breathless just thinking about what you've accomplished in the last week or so. You're and inspiration to us all, Darlene.

I love the bright repro colors in your nine patch blocks. Those are some lucky quilters who will be receiving those.

Wow - you've been rockin' those projects!!! They all look great, and I wish you luck picking out fabrics - sometimes that seems like the hardest part!

Wowwee, what a productive week. Now you can have a clear run at something. I love it when everything is sorted and I'm all up to date like that.

Those little snowmen are fun. Love the simplicity of 9-patches. You have lotss of great projects in the works.

You are on a roll!!
I love weeks like that, were you just get everything off of that To Do list and you can see it all fall into place.

My Cindy Lou Who is the only Schnibble I have not yet quilted. I need to find a proper backing so it has floundered without quilting. I need to get to it since I made it with Xmas fabric and now is the best time to pick up something that will work.

Good Luck on yours!

Love the work that you have done on all the stitchery goodies!!!
Your nine-patches are really lovely colours and the BOM looks terrific! You are so productive. Unlike me - I only managed to finish one small project in two week now...Still have two WIP's and two projects that I need to start with...Good luck with the schnibble!!!!!

Look at you go! Love the new Snowbound block -and I just love the Raggedy Ann and Andy block, too! Hope you find a fabric you adore for Cindy Lou (smile)!

Kelly@ Charming Chatter said...

Oops - forgot to mention that your first row of the Designer Mystery BOM is SO PRETTY!

Thelma said...

I signed up for the FQS Mystery BOM today! The only thing initially holding me back was the "mystery" part, I'm not one for surprises! But if the remaining blocks are half as cute as the first three blocks, I'll be happy! I think I'll steal your and Dianne's wonderful idea of adding the sashing and assembling the rows as I go.

your handwork is perfect, as always.

You're running out of time, you simply MUST finish the last Schnibble, you're so close to having them all done! Good Luck

Love it all. Just like Kathy, I have so far shown great restraint for the Christmas mystery blocks. but you are making it really hard!
