Box O'Goodness
(follower giveaway winner at the end of this post)
*
Did you see this awesome quilt on Karen's blog? I instantly fell in love with it and kept going back to look at it - Huge Sigh! LOL :-)
*
Exchanging e-mails with Karen I told her how much I loved her quilt and asked about the pattern. Rather than providing pattern information (she couldn't remember) she offered to send me her 'leftover' blocks! Yes, please!

The box o'goodness arrived last week! WooHoo!!!!
The plastic bag held the "leftover blocks" - OMG, OMG, OMG - there were 77 blocks in the bag. Some are completely finished and others need to be stitched down - but all the hard work is done; now I can just have fun. teehee!!!

And, then I discovered that 3/4's of the box was filled with scraps from the project - lots and lots of scraps - big pieces and little pieces. Major swoon!!!!

Thank you so much Karen - I appreciate your kindness but especially your friendship.
*
BTW, she wasn't too crazy about her quilt top so she gave it away. :-)
*
And, we have a winner in the 'follower' giveaway - Yvette (BOM Quilter) please send me an e-mail with your mailing address.
*
Have a fabulous week end - I plan to sew! You?
*
In Friendship!

Wow!!! What an amazing friend Karen is. That is such an amazing gift. Just to let you know, I was reading your previous posts about followers and I love followers too. I know I have more followers than are listed on my side bar. But it's nice to see the ones I have. I've been following your blog unofficially for a long time. Probably since I started blogging 1.5 yrs ago. I have your blog in my blog list. But I'm an official follower now. Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration you give. I love your blog.

Basket quilts are amongst my faves. Now you're going to have one to play with courtesy of Karen. She's a very generous person.

When she said that she didn't like the one she made and was going to give it away I told her to hold on to it for a while because she might change her mind. I guess she didn't.

I took a break today and did tons of yardwork with Mr. PQ. But I have something in mind for tomorrow that I'm going to start to work on. Yay!

Swoon away and enjoy!

WOW!!! What a delightful surprise...I'm betting you weren't expecting quite so many 'leftovers' were you? Karen is such a generous and thoughtful friend. Aren't quilters just 'the best'? What a wonderful group of people to be a part of. Have fun with your new treasures and make sure you keep us updated on your progress with them. Now slap a giant pin cushion on each wrist, put your arms out straight and twirl around a few time (with gusto) to transform into "Wonder Quilter"...you'll have those blocks whipped into a beautiful quilt before you know it!!! Hugs, and have a great weekend. OH and congratulations to Yvette on winning the giveaway.

Wow!! What a gift! Quilters are such special people. The best. I used to have an Interior Design business and I wouldn't trade my 'quilting' business back for that even if someone gave me a million dollars. The caliber of people are like night and day!
I just wanted to say an extra special thank you to you for putting me on your blog roll. I see from my Feedjit that several come over to my blog from yours.
So tons of Hugs and Love to you!
