Saturday!

I've spent very little time with a needle (machine or hand) and thread in the past two weeks. It's not a bad thing but I have assignments to complete. LOL

My DD, Kris and I spent a couple of hours on Thursday making 24 scissor fobs. WooHoo! We ran out of eye pins and charms but a quick trip to Joann's solved that tiny problem and now I can make 6 more. :-) I'm hoping these will go in the mail to some very special people early next week.

I plan to spend ALL day in my sewing room so if you need me you know where to find me. :-)

Thank you so much for popping in to visit - come again soon!

In Friendship!

Those are so pretty! One of these days I'm going to try my hand at making some of those. Were they hard to do?

I just love beads and charms. I don't own a fob, but would love one. Are you ever going to give us a tute on them? I'll have to hunt the net for how...that is not my forte, but they are sooo pretty!

Your version of spurs that jingle-jangle-jingle are a lot more attractive than the real ones! Very pretty.

Could you do a lesson for us or direct us to instructions. They would make great little Christmas gifts.

Darlene, The scissor fobs are so cute and look like so much fun. At least you are still creating, right? You know, not being able to sit at my sewing machine for the last 3 months would have been truly horrible if I hadn't been able to do some hand stitching. Now I'm enjoying working on my embroidered blocks so much, that when I am able to machine stitch again (a couple more weeks), I will be thinking about the embroidery that needs done. It's a balancing act for sure, along with just 'life' itself but amazingly, we always manage.

NO wonder you don't have time to sew! This is quite an accomplishment!

With what you've accomplished in your sewing room in the last little while, I'd say you needed a break.

Your fobs are fob-ulous! Aren't they fun to make? The sky is the limit as to what you can do.

Looks like you had a productive day making those little charms, aren't they a fun way to dress up your scissors.
