The kind people (aka Carolyn) at Accuquilt have given me the go-ahead to announce a give away for a Go! Cutter!

Here's a chance for you to win your very own Go! Cutter and three dies - Woohoo!!!!

I'm going to keep it simple - it's easier for me that way. teehee!!!!

Two questions to answer in your comment:

1. Why is today (7/26) special to me?

2. What's your favorite Go! Cutter die?

See .... easy peasy!

I'll be back tomorrow evening (Wednesday 7/27) to announce the winner!

Good luck!

In Friendship!

Oh I'm the first to post and I don't think #1 ever gets chosen but I do want to wish you a super happy birthday today!!! (answer to question #1). Question #2: 2 1/2" strip cutter of course (so I can make more jelly roll quilts:) Hope you have a fabulous b-day!

onlymehere said...

It's special bz it's your birthday (I think 56 this year?). Happy Birthday! My favorite die would be anything bz I don't have any at all, lol! Okay, since you're making me pick maybe the circles or hearts, it's just to hard to pick one!

Denise in PA said...

Happy Birthday (answer to question #1)! #2 probably never gets chosen either, but that's okay. Question #2 is the hexagon die! Have a wonderful day!

onlymehere said...

P.S. Don't hurt me if I got your age wrong! I just remember how much it is away from my own age but I may have it wrong.

Denise in PA said...

Ha, by the time I posted, I was #3 - maybe #3 gets picked! o:)

Oh, wow! That would explain why today is special - a chance to win a GO!!! Yippee! And my favorite die would be any of the lovely ones with curves, which I am so NOT good at cutting for myself.

Thanks for hosting this. And Happy Birthday!

Carol said...

I can answer one...it's your BIRTHDAY! HAPPY! HAPPY!

Sally said...

Well, Happy, Happy Birthday, Darlene!

#1 - It's your birthday, silly!
#2 - I love the square die would be the favorite if I had a Go Cutter.... Squares are so versatile...probably a 2 1/2" square is my most-often used.

Pick me, please!

Jackie Russell said...

It's your Birthday! Happy Birthday!

AnnieO said...

Happy Happy Birthday! Thanks for making Question #1 easy, and for Question #2, I would also go with the 2.5" die, I have a lot of scraps to cut down!

Raising a virtual glass to your birthday--Cheers!

Jackie Russell said...

I'm not sure what one would be my favorite since I don't have one. My guess would be the hexagon one.

Library Gal Quilts said...

It's your Bday!! Congrats!
And I would love the square!

ohhhh I hope I win!

Have a wonderful happy birthday! I'll be 58 in about 5 weeks. wow. where did all that time go? LOL!!

JoAnn ( Scene Through My Eyes) said...

7/26 is special to me because it was a big family party day - lots of cousins and aunt had birthdays - and now your birthday gets added to the list. We had cakes and watermelon and sometimes sparklers - those were fun days when we all lived closer.

My favorite cutter is the hexagon - oh so many choices. I want to make my daughter a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt and this cutter would surely make it faster and more fun!!!

Happy day to you my friend - get those wabbits to bake you a cake - well, maybe not - they might get their ears in the cake batter and frosting.

Ariane said...

Oh!!! It's your birthday. What a great way to celebrate with a GO! Cutter giveaway. I would love to win this GO! Cutter for the Limestone Quilters' Guild. I already have one and just love it!!! I know that the ladies at the guild would just love to have one of these to use for their community quilts projects. My favorite die would be the 2.5 inch strip die. This would help cut all their donated fabric into jelly rolls. Thanks for the chance to win. Hugs Ariane

Dresden Quilter said...

1. It's your birthday. Happy Birthday

2. I like the Go Dies that are harder for me to cut out so I would say the Drunkard's Path.

Thanks for the giveaway.

CK said...

1) It's your birthday! I hope you have a GREAT day!
2.) I'm a beginning quilter and I find accurate cutting a challenge. I'm sure the accuquilt would solve that problem! I'd choose a basic 2 1/2 inch strip die.

Jocelyn said...

It's your birthday!!!! Happy Birthday Darlene! And my favorite die would be the 5" square, because I love to make charms for quilts and other projects :-)

Loris said...

Happy Birthday, Darlene! I hope it is a wonderful celebration and new year for you. What a cool thing to be able to have such a terrific giveaway! first question...7/26 this year is special to me because i'm home and not at work :-). second question...I would have to pick one of the dies that has curves..like to make a drunkard's path or rob peter to pay paul... they all sound wonderful.
Hope you have a really fun day!

May Kristin said...

#1. Happy Birthday! Wish you a wonderful day!
#2. It's hard to choose between the Drunkard's Path die and the Hexagon die!
Thank you! And enjoy your day!

Bobby said...

Today is special because of your birthday. My favorite would be any of them, as the Go is still at the top of my wish list.
Have a great day......

Leah said...

Hmm, I like this Hobbit style birthday, you giving gifts away on your special day.

Maybe I will be lucky on your special day and win the Hexagon die I have been drooling over, as well as the cutter to go with it. ;)

Happy Birthday to you, and many many more to come!

Darlene B said...

Because it's your birthday!
I find it hard to pick a favorite -maybe the drunkard's path because I don't like cutting out curves! Or maybe the fall medley because I love anything that helps me decorate for fall!

marie said...

Happy Birthday to you wish I was your age again :-) I'd like the tumbler die as those are so tedious to cut out. Thanks for the chance.

Denise C said...

Today is special because it's your birthday. Happy Birthday!!! Hope your day is great. Thanks for the opportunity to win. I would guess that my favorite die would be the tumbler. - Denise

Allie said...

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Darlene,
Happy Birthday to you!!!!!
[question 1, lol]

I'd have to say triangles and squares would be my favorite - they're so tedious to cut! I think the strips too, because my strips always end up so wonky. Sigh.

Unknown said...

happy b-day! um today is special b/c i get to work on my scrap quilt! i have a little free time so that's what i'm doing. as far as the die goes, i'd have to say the 3 1/2" triangle die because you can do so much with triangles!

thanks for the giveaway!

Sasha said...

Happy birthday! (that's #1 - the most important!)

My favorite die? hmmm i think the drunkards path one, i would never attempt that without the serious help of a die cutter.

Shelina (formerly known as Shasta) said...

Happy birthday Darlene! I don't have a favorite die, because I don't have a cutter, but if I do get a cutter, I would like dies that would make hard things easier to cut - like apple core or applique shapes like circles and hearts..

paulette said...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I went back in your posts..then saw the itty bitty writing!! You are still a spring chicken!! haha
I would like to enter your contest on behalf of my guild!! They thank you, as do I! My favourite (so far) die is the Peter/Paul die but I just got the basket die and it might become my favourite...we'll see.
Thanks for the chance to win the GO! for my guild- and I didn't have to make a fool of myself..haha!

Today is special to me because it is my grandson's 11th birthday. He was very medically fragile when he was first born----a rare allergy to all proteins (animal and plant) and ended up in ICU; all kinds of problems. He is now a healthy little boy (still small and a poor eater) but so much more healthy---a blessing. My favorite GO! die would probably be the Rob Peter to Pay Paul...lots of curves that are hard to cut by hand.

Cathy said...

Happy Birthday! That is probably why today is special for you! My day is special because I can squeeze in some sewing. Not nearly as exciting as birthday cake, but we do what we can.
As for a favorite die, I like the bird and flower shaped ones. I'm sure I could cut them, but this looks so much easier!
Thanks for sharing your birthday with us! I hope is is fabulous!

Sherry said...

Happy belated birthday Darlene, what a terrific way to celebrate your day. My favorite dies would be the ones that help with applique. Hope you had a wonderful day.

People seem to think it is your birthday. That would be lovely. Maybe you will start a new tradition of giving other people presents on your birthday???

I would probably give this to my daughter if I won because she loves to piece but has trouble cutting straight. She IS only 11, so it isn't too bad. The die would need to be small pieces, because she makes small quilts. Maybe 2-1/2" squares?

Vangie said...

1. Because it is your birthday! (Happy Birthday) 2. I would have to say the dresden plate die.
