So you start with patchwork and then cut that into your whirly gigs? I've never seen such a thing! That looks quite addictive. Love the finished product. Just in time for fall too. A cute little hanging in wonderful fall colors!

Lovely! I like the black in it .... Okay, you can be distracted with a cute, quick pattern like that!

That's so cute, I have the ruler but haven't tried it yet. I did the bigger version with Lil Twister ruler using 5" squares.

OH I LOVE IT!!! Oops, sorry, didn't mean to shout, LOL. I've been trying to get one of the Twister rulers from any of my 3 LQS and still only one carries them and only intermittently. Since I don't go to the shop every day or every other day like I used to, I seem to miss them every time. It's a small delightful shop but they only order a few at a time. They did put me on a waiting list for one of the small ones, but so far over the last few months have only been able to get the largest size in...not the one I want. So keep your fingers crossed my Wonder Quilter, that one day soon, I too will be 'Twisting the night away'. Hugs...

How clever. At first I thought those wabbits had gotten your scissors.

That is wonderful! It is fun just to get lost in fabric and time. And look at your result! :)

Very fun and I just love it when the sewing has to keep going like that.

So refresh my memory, it's a special tool, ruler that you buy that does this? It's really pretty and I'd like to make one from my stash!

Last year at Christmas two of my quilting group buddies gave me the template for making those blocks but I still haven't tried using it nor do I know how. Guess I ought to give it try sometime, ya think? Cute cute cute!
Hope all is going great your way.

Addictive little quilt to make isn't it? I love my Twister ruler.

Darlene,
I bought that ruler last week - without reading the directions. I love the look of the whirly gigs. But I must say I was a little unhappy once a read the directions. Sew a quilt top TWICE??? And all that wasted fabric? Just goes against my nature! Are the scraps big enough to reuse for something else? No other way to get those results? I'm going to have to think about this - really like the whirly gigs!! Deborah
