Rockin' Bobbins

Several months ago when I was doing some prepping and precutting I showed a cute red block on this post.  I referred to it as a lifesaver and thought it would be cute skipping across a quilt.
My friend, Carol, and I often plan many projects together and we discussed making a quilt using that 'lifesaver' block with Mama Said, Sew by Sweetwater for Moda.  Months went by and I kept dragging my feet coming up with a pattern.

Finally a couple of weeks ago I got busy!  Rather than lifesavers I decided they looked more like bobbins and immediately came up with a name for the quilt....
"Rockin' Bobbins".

Rockin' Bobbins
Mama Said, Sew (pattern is my design)
approx 60" x 68"

I think a red or black binding will add a nice frame to the entire quilt.

I hope my design makes you smile :-)

One final note - today, February 12, my sweet hubby, Ron, and I are celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary.
Happy Anniversary Sweetheart - I love you more & more every day!

Enjoy a pieceful day.  Once again I do appreciate your visits.

In Friendship!

Happy Anniversary! You were married 2 months before I was born. Just an interesting fact I thought of! I love your quilt design! I was going to ask if you were going to do a tutorial for it, but having a close look I think I can work out how you've constructed it myself.

Happy Anniversary to you and hubby. I hope you two make a wonderful, memorable day. Cyber hugs coming to you.

This is strange - when I saw your quilt photo, the first thing I thought of was my Bernina's bobbins - what a perfect name for your quilt. Like the idea you have for either a red or black binding to show off those bobbins.

Have a great day.

Happy Anniversary! Will you be doing anything special? We will soon be celebrating our 50th.

I like the fabrics you used for your bobbin quilt. The block would be an easy one to construct and makes a good quilt.

Happy Anniversary! My dad used to say to my mom every anniversary, "well, Katherine I suppose I will renew your option for one more year." And she'd say something along the lines of "you'd better if you want any more apple pie!"

Love Rockin' Bobbins!

WOW, Great name for the quilt and I love the fabric line you used. I haven't cut into mine YET. The font I used for my pillows is called PC Straight. I have no idea where I got it from. I'm always downloading free fonts off the internet. I love quick projects, I need to do more lol.

Darlene ~ Happy, happy Anniversary!!! I'm checking in late, but I know you had a wonderful time with your hubby and hopefully will have a very Happy Valentine's Day, too.

Just wanted you to know I think of you especially every year around this time when I use the beautiful pink and brown table topper you made and I won in one of your giveaways!

If you'd like to see a picture of it on our table for tonight's Valentine's dinner, here's a link:
