Advent Stocking Fun

In the weeks before Thanksgiving I'd been thinking about making advent calendars for Seth, Eli, Shaye and Audrey.  I simply couldn't decide on a pattern or idea. 

Very frustrating for this Nana.

 

And then I spotted these fabulous stockings! 

 It's red and white velvet with delectable fur and bells to trim the cuff.  30" long with pockets on the front for goodies and treats to help count down the days until Christmas. After the countdown has come to an end it's a huge regular stocking for Santa to stuff on Christmas Eve. 

It didn't take me long to order four stockings with personalization and have them shipped directly to my daughter's house. 

My grandchildren absolutely love them. 

 

Wouldn't it be fun to have a stocking like this for yourself???

 

I'd love to have all the pockets filled with chocolates - YUM.

And, on Christmas morning it would be fun to find all sorts of quilting/sewing/stitching doo-dahs just for ME.  LOL

 

What would you want to find in the pockets and the stocking itself?

Decorating for Christmas

 Is there Christmas decorating going on at your house? 

 Or have you finished and now you're sitting back enjoying your Christmas treasures?

What do you prefer when you decorate; a specific theme i.e. snowmen or do you mix it up?

My friend, Wendy, likes to decorate with snowmen and trees. 

If you visit her blog you'll enjoy a sweet array of snowmen and trees vignettes.

Maybe you prefer to decorate with Santas everywhere. 

 I used to collect Santas.  I don't have as many as I used to but I still enjoy using them here and there.  This was at my house several years ago.

My favorite thing to do is to decorate my kitchen with Gingebread boys and girls. 

I found this large cup with the accessories about seven years ago and it always graces our kitchen table. 

 

I haven't done much decorating this year but I did pick up a couple of new snowmen. 

Snowmen and Santas are available in abundance but the G-Men (gingerbread men) are elusive. 

That makes me a bit sad :-(
