Advent Stocking Fun

In the weeks before Thanksgiving I'd been thinking about making advent calendars for Seth, Eli, Shaye and Audrey.  I simply couldn't decide on a pattern or idea.
Very frustrating for this Nana.
And then I spotted these fabulous stockings!
It's red and white velvet with delectable fur and bells to trim the cuff.  30" long with pockets on the front for goodies and treats to help count down the days until Christmas. After the countdown has come to an end it's a huge regular stocking for Santa to stuff on Christmas Eve.
It didn't take me long to order four stockings with personalization and have them shipped directly to my daughter's house.
My grandchildren absolutely love them.

Wouldn't it be fun to have a stocking like this for yourself???
I'd love to have all the pockets filled with chocolates - YUM.
And, on Christmas morning it would be fun to find all sorts of quilting/sewing/stitching doo-dahs just for ME.  LOL
What would you want to find in the pockets and the stocking itself?
I hope you've enjoyed some pieceful days.
In Friendship!

Oh Darlene...these are PERFECT!!! I agree chocolate...or wee toys!! How about clues to find a small gift hidden somewhere. Everyday could be a treasure hunt...of course you would have to be there for the whole month of Dec. to orchestrate the whole thing!!:o)) What a great grandma!!

Those are really cute. The pockets look perfect size for all kinds of little notions....and fun running stuff too! Inside? A new pair of running shoes and the entry fee for my next race.

Cute stockings for cute grandchildren! Is there anything better?
I like the idea of chocolates in those little pockets... although I wouldn't mind finding a note from the federal government giving me permission to retire NOW with full benefits... a girl can dream!!!

You find the best stuff. My girlfriend is secretly stuffing her own stocking. I thought it was funny. I would stuff mine with scissors, pins and binding clips.

What a cutie holding that stocking! Love your newest granddaughter's name, too, always one of my faves. Great find and personalization too! Knocking it out of the park, there, Grandma :) Chocolate sounds terrific.

That little precious looks like she would fit inside that huge stocking! What a nice thing for the kids.

Threads for the pockets and fabric for the BIG inside of the stocking would make the perfect stocking for me :)
