Shopping with Big Plans

I popped into two quilt stores yesterday and came away with stuff to finish a current project (remember those itty bitty nine patches) and the first phase of two more projects. You'll notice a Sanctuary Jelly Roll by Moda - it's my first "Jelly Roll" and it's fat free - WooHoo!!!!

Stopped by Barnes and Noble and found the latest issue of Quilts and More and Best of Quilt Sampler (Nadine, I bought one for you, too).

While I was out I met with my good friends, Barb and Mary of Me and My Sister Designs to grab some patterns to proof.

So, new fabric, new magazines, a little time with good friends – a very good day, indeed!

You are friends with the most interesting people! I adore the two magazines you mention, and must see if I can get them right away too. Can't wait to see what you do with the Sanctuary jelly roll. I have tons of the pink and yellow and lavender left after making my red and green Sanctuary project, and I really don't want to waste it,

Oh, I'm so jealous - my LQS is out of jelly rolls so I still have none; and I am wanting that Best of Quilt Sampler magazine and the nearest bookstore is 30 miles away. I used to get them at KMart but they recently closed and our WalMart doesn't carry it. Bummer. Looks like I have some planning to do to get to a bookstore!

You got some wonderful goodies. I've been thinking about trying one of those Jelly Rolls. But I'm on No Buy until I go on a Shop Hop in May so I'll wait until then to buy one.

What a perfect day you had, and your fabrics are lovely. I am so glad my "february fabric diet" is over, and I'm off to the online quilt shops...
