Pay It Forward - Received

Yesterday's mail brought this beautiful and adorable quilt from Libby for me to fulfill her 'Pay it Forward' commitment. These blocks were part of an exchange she participated in and she felt that the entire quilt would be happy with me. She's right - I love it. Libby, thank you for the incredible gift and for your gift of friendship.

Small irony - the designer, Valerie Boman of Cotton Pickin' Designs was my beginning quilt making teacher 8 years ago. And, I remember when she designed these blocks.

I have to keep thanking you for visiting my blog and leaving wonderful comments. I look forward to your regular visits.

In Friendship!

You lucky little duck!
Beautiful quilt!
And I also liked your "supporting cast" quilt - you made me smile - they can't all be award winning masterpieces I guess! But it is very "fall" looking and will be great for decorating your home.

O.M.G., how lucky can you get, girlfriend? That is gorgeous!!! And how could Libby have such a generous soul that she could share it with someone else??? There are truly some beautiful people in this world---and you and Libby are two of them!! Enjoy! (I really really enjoyed our conversation yesterday, and I'm looking forward to lots more *g*)

I am so thrilled - at least for today I seem to be able to access a few blogs at work - including yours! So I'm going to spend my afternoon break catching up with you and your "goings on". I've missed you my friend!

What did you want us to say in our comments today? No instructions with your post this time. I guess it must be freestyle?! What a cute PIF gift and how funny that the pattern was designed by someone you know! On another note, what do you think we should do with Yvonne? Give her a wedgie, maybe?

Yvonne said...

Darlene, I think Kimmy might be needing a nougie or two or more.
A wedgie......
Maybe Sharon could make a detour and shortsheet her bed. :)
