Quilting Challenge!

I've decided, like so many others, to challenge myself to quilt some of the "flimsies" that are lingering in the pile. I haven't quilted anything since Peg's July Challenge so this my own Nov/Dec challenge. There are five quilt tops in the picture and only one is an oldie. Wish me luck, please! :-)

He's right! Who? My sweet and incredibly supportive husband. Why? Well, last week we were chatting about my quilting and such and he made a very valid statement that hit me right between the eyes. He said, "It's been a long while since you've worked on something from start to finish and that's not like you". OMG, he's absolutely right - I haven't done much piecing in several months. So, I've been thinking about a new pieced project and hope to get started this week. Stay tuned!
Thank you for stopping by for a visit - come again soon!
In Friendship!

If I were you, I wouldn't know which one of those quilts in your pic to start quilting first. They are beautiful!

I see that pile and I remember you posting pictures of some of those quilts. I love the pink and nine patch -- and the first one on the top of the pile. I bet you will enjoy having them finished!

Have fun creating a new project!!

I have a whole stack of tops that need to be finished too. I invite you and your readers to link up your finishes to my weekly "Finished for Friday" so we can all cheer you on.

I seem to get bogged down with the basting. I think I should just have a baste-it day for myself every week!

Good for you - what a great challenge! Love the tops in your picture. Now that I've finished almost all my UFO's into finished tops I need to do the same thing. Other than finishing Lily's quilt I've quilted nothing since August. About time I think!

Is that how you usually work - start to finish? I, too, used to work that way years ago. What do you think changed for us? Was it learning to applique? Applique quilts take so long to finish I'm thinking maybe that's what did it for me.

Good luck getting those flimsies quilted! That's my goal for my next, to get some older flimsies quilted.

Oooh, looks like you have some fun quilts to work on!

And could you please tell me again (sorry -- I know you've posted it on your blog) what you stuff your pincushions with? I'd like to try something different than my normal stuffing!

Blame it on all that work you did/do for market! It kicked you in the sewing basket!

It would be hard for me to pick which one of those quilt tops I would like best. I am only seeing bits & pieces of them but they look oh so good. Completely done is good! Hard to do sometimes when there is so much eye candy left to play with.
