Sewing, sewing, sewing

Oh No.....................empty bobbins!!!!

AH! Full bobbins. Bliss!!! ;-)

10 empty bobbins is a signal for me to clean & oil my sewing machine. Change the needle, too.

And, now......................
sewing, sewing, sewing!

Having a good week? Thanks for stopping by.

In Friendship!

Oh full bobbins make me happy! But empty bobbins mean I've been sewing - which is happy too!

I'm using up some 'linty' thread so I'm cleaning my machine almost with each new bobbin...which I must admit is out of character for me. Good work keeping your BFF serviced and ready to sew!

I just cleaned my machine on Sunday and I couldn't believe how filthy it was! Forgot to change the needle though...I need to do that today! :0)

Now that's one neat way to keep yourself "in the know" when to clean your machine.

My machine "drinks" so I have to oil her often so I clean her often, after every project and alot of time in between projects.

You must have been busy humming along with your machine.

I like those pictures. It means more pictures to get to see of your fabulous creations. I am trying to finish a swap I should not have joined.

I have two of those bobbin holders. One for the Bernina and one for the Featherweight. I love those holders. I like your tracking system :-)

You go girl...fire up that machine!

I'm with Loris I clean my machine after every bobbin. I have found that my machine runners better when it's clean. Is there anyway I could talk you into cleaning your machine more often? To wait till you've used 10 bobbins seems like a long time. I would hate to see your machine chock on you.

Hmmm that gives me an idea. I am terrible about changing my needle and heard the distinct pop pop pop the other day.

Good idea...I usually fill 4 at a time...think 10 would be a better number to have on hand!

Your machine is having a day at the spa...that's what mine needs now after the retreat. That's a great way to keep track of when to do it. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

What a neat idea, when the bobbins get empty then it's cleaning time. I need to think of me a way to remind me to take care of my sewing machine. You have inspired me.

I keep track of when to clean & oil my machine the same way...every 10 bobbins and after doing any significant amount of machine quilting.
