A Touch of Spring

Spring table topper brightening my kitchen! I “scored” those three blue ball canning jars for $2 each at a Patio Sale yesterday.

My daughter and I are so excited about these monthly table toppers that we’ve been brain storming about themes to use each month and what to use for center pieces. Some months are obvious but we’re a bit stumped with others. Any ideas?

I do runner for each month as wedding gifts, in order...snow, hearts, st pats, easter, iris, wedding, rwb, watermelons, sunflowers, halloween, thankgfving, cmas. So far all the gifts have been for may or june weddings...so the iris and the wedding ones have been switched sometimes.

Your topper looks great! I know you will come up with some good ideas to use as centerpieces. Becky has some good ones too!

That is just tooo cute, Darlene!! I'm in love with the monthly toppers too. Now, if I can just stay inside long enough to make me one, or two, or oh my goodness, I need to make FOUR right now!!! ROFL I do love them!

Changing out monthly is a great idea - nothing like fresh decor to spark even more creativity *s*

Berries for a summer month, apples for September? Monthly table toppers - wow, I was happy to have one for each season. Maybe a project to get working on.

Very cute tabletopper. I'm happy to get one tabletopper nearly completed and you're planning monthly themes? (LOL) I just love that red daisy border fabric.

I love the old canning jars and have quite a few of them myself.

You might look for Janet Kime's book "Quilts for Red Letter Days" or Joan Hanson's "Calendar Quilts" for inspiration. Kime in particular has things for some of the less typical celebrations.
