SHHHHH - I'm Suppose To Be Working!!!

Yes, I'm suppose to be working but I just couldn't help myself. I really couldn't - the blocks were sitting in front of my sewing machine taunting me. In fact, I swear I heard them calling me - LOL!

2 Simplicity Layer Cakes + yardage for the sashing = Blossom by Fig Tree Quilts. Obviously it still needs an outer border but I need to make that decision now that the center is done. Any thoughts?

OK, I must stop playing for now! Thanks for visiting!

In Friendship!

I have the dirty washing calling me.. the cat calling me wanting to be fed... the dagster (super dh) calling me as he has made me a cup of tea and after all that.. the fabric will call me!

Have a wonderful weekend and isn't it good to 'play hooky' once in awhile???

Oh Darlene! It's soooo cute! Thank you for posting it--you know I have been anxiously awaiting this picture!!! I told it to call your name and not let you work :)

I wish I had a charm pack to look through so I could give input on your borders...hmmm it's 4:06 and there is a quilt shop open until 6:00 that is right by Costco where I could pick up pizza for dinner...o.k. anything for my big sis :)

I just love your quilt!! I would love to know what pattern you used. Did you use 10" squares for the main fabrics? Thanks so much.

I love the quilt top you are making. The colors are so soft and feminine looking.
And it's okay to play! We all need to do that sometimes.

I love it! Isn't that pattern the most fun! Pick your favorite piece and border it in that! I wish I had made the borders on mine wider, so that might be something to consider, too. Fabulous quilt! You done good! :)

Oh my what a wonderful quilt. That's the first one I've seen with the layer cakes. How about flying geese but the kind that are flying next to each other. I don't know what it called. I bet I've really confused you now...LOL

Gotta love that Simplicity!! We have a whole section of it at work and it calls, and calls me when I am there. So far I have been strong, but after seeing your quilt I might have to give in tomorrow :-)!

I just love it when fabric calls my name. This is a neat looking quilt and looks like it went together quickly. You will find the perfect border for it I am sure. It's always good to take a fabric break, if only to smell it, lol.
